After announcement of lock-down Union Govt. announced telecast of Ramayana and Mahabharata on National
Television channels. In earlier article you have read about Ramayana. We are
going to discuss about Mahabharta in this article.
What
is in Mahabharata Story all about?
Mahabharata
is a story of Dwapar age in ancient India. This story is too about conflict in
attachment vs detachment. This story is about consequences of weak control on
senses. This story is about consequences of false ego, disrespect to women’s
freedom. Here we are not going to discuss the story or result of Mahabharta since most of us know it. So let us discuss the game of positive and negative powers. For ease of understanding
we are categorizing the key events which turned the direction of the wind.
1) King
Santanu fallen in love with a girl when he should have had to think about his son’s
marriage. This attachment with senses started turned the story in a different direction.
2) Das
Raj was so attached with king’s position for his grandsons that he ignored the
eligibility criteria. Anyhow he wanted what he desired.
3) Despite
being capable in all respect Bhism was not attached with the position & kingdom and he sacrificed
his own interest for happiness of his father and other relatives.
4) Dhritarastra
despite being ineligible for king’s position he was always attached with this
position. He always aspired for this post for his son. In this process Sakuni
helped him.
5) Pandu
was not attached with position but his passion for hunting the wild animals created problem for him.
6) Duryodhana
despite being intelligent politician, excellent relationship manager and
strategist and strong army administrator, was attached with his position.
This attachment with position and power forced him to do many conspiracies against Pandawa's..
7) Pandawa's
being devotee of Krishna were detached with wealth and position. They were
ready for peace process if they were given only 5 villages for their
livelihood. They were inclined to
observe simplicity in life i.e.simple
life science.
8) Krishna
is an eternal force of nature’s positive energy. He is always with the person
who observes simplicity in life, who is detached, who loves all and serves all.He is in true feeling of all his devotees.
9) In
this process Krishna a divine flame of equanimity ensured that in short term negatives powers may dominate
the show but in long term simplicity and love only survives.
Why should we see Mahabharata?
In
Kaliyug we are observing that negative powers are dominating the political,
social and economic shows. Peoples are working for self-interest only. Greed
and selflessness is on peak. There is no feeling of help ever, heart never. Peoples
who are not involved in dirty office politics are discouraged and demotivated.
In this situation Mahabharata shows a path to all forces. It gives a learning
to negative powers that you may be powerful for the time being but your end is approaching soon. Simultaneously it gives message to positive powers that you are not weak
actually you are powerful and only you will survive, loved and respected by the
time. So trust on God. He is with you.
Therefore,
again I suggest to all my friends that don’t see Mahabharata just for entertainment.
There are so many options available for entertainment. See it with devotion.
See it with learning curiosity. See it will intention to adopt in your life.
All the best. Thank you.
