You
might have seen many peoples across the world visiting Indian centres of
Spirituality like Prayagraj, Kashi, Rishikesh Ujjain and Puttaparhty etc. As we
know India is the source of spirituality. Many European’s came here and
translated Indian Sacred books into their own language. Sometimes it comes in our mind that actually
what spirituality is all about?
We
use the term “spirituality: quite often. Once I tried to understand from google
and I got the answer from Wikipedia, something like – “Traditionally, spirituality referred to a religious
process of re-formation which "aims to recover the original shape of
man", oriented at "the image of God as
exemplified by the founders and sacred texts of the religions of the world.
In
general terms peoples referred these activities as way of worship, reading
sacred texts etc. However, after going through multiple books I realised that
this concept cannot be understood by reading the books only. It can be experienced by practice only under
the supervision of a Guru.
My Guru Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba defined spirituality as practice of fundamental, basic or
universal values. These form the core of all world faiths. These are
universally accepted by all men in all places and at all times. People
throughout the world describe what spirituality means to them in varied ways,
and may or may not base it on participation in an organized religion. Here are
some examples:
Ø Spirituality is the inner part of our humanness you
can say it an inner force.
Ø It is an attempt to finding God inside self.
Ø It is an energy of God which is source of our energy.
Ø Spirituality is inspired responsibility towards
people, other living beings, and relating with Divinity in every aspect.
Now I
realise that spirituality is a way of life focussed on experiencing love,
peace, harmony, and bliss within us and to radiate the fragrance of this energy
all around through or thoughts, words, feels and deeds.
