Role of Youth in Selfless Service

In today's life, we observe that youth is involved in a lot of non-productive works.  In absence of adequate moral values, they waste their time on useless topics of social media created by political parties and vested interest groups. Gang rapes have become very frequent. Which is a shame on civilisation. All these are resulting in mass unrest in society. Is this what our freedom fighters thought of it? Whether they sacrificed their lives for these days?

Peace and prosperity can be ensured in society only when youth moves with love and eagerness to do selfless services.  Modern youth do not understand the meaning of love and remains under the feeling of duality which is the enemy of love.  They want to gather all information without understanding the truth of life.  Baba says that youth will remain a burden on society behaving like parasite and exploiters until unless the desire for service and skills of service are cultivated in them.

Only young men and women can eradicate the evils of society. To do so youth should respect their parents first. Baba says that you can claim that your life is my message only when you take the path of truth and righteousness, instil peace and love in your heart, and uphold nonviolence.

Service should not be undertaken for publicity sake. It should be done from the heart to help the needy. When we are rendering services, we should feel that we are serving God. That is why baba says ‘Service to a man is service to God’. In this manner we can realise that service is done by God, to God and for God.

Friends just remember that you are born to serve society. Make no distinction whatever in rendering the service. Divine grace will follow in abundance when you serve with the spirit of humanity and equality.
